Nice shot! Your work is improving! Your framing is very nice; your fill the frame with the subject matter. I like the catch light in both eyes; it gives that little bit of a sparkle that adds to the subject matter. The shadows on the cheekbone work well and does the classical butterfly lighting. You controlled the seams in your background a lot better in this shot.

So what would I do differently? First of all, I would use a larger background. It does not extend to the bottom of the image at the bottom right of the picture; and the little corner of white is distracting. The funny shadow cast by the eyelashes still needs a bit of work. I would probably Photoshop a few of the stray hairs on the forehead that are a bit distracting as well.

The main thing I would do differently though, is to move my camera up a bit and be shooting more at the subject's eye level.

Good work; your technique is improving!
